August 6, 2020 — AKVIS announces the update of the AliveColors image editor. The recent version includes new Smoke Brush, improved Fit Text to Path tool, updated MakeUp filter, bug fixes, and increased stability.
AliveColors is fully equipped and versatile image editing software for Windows and Mac. The program offers simple and easy to use tools, adjustments, and effects, compatibility with pressure-sensitive graphics tablets, and support for the most necessary image formats. The image editor includes an incredible collection of built-in AKVIS plugins. It also provides support for third-party plug-ins: Corel ParticleShop, Auto FX Software, Topaz Labs, Nik Collection, Imagenomic, and Exposure Software plugins, as well as for the other native AKVIS plugins. AliveColors meets the needs of diverse user groups: from photographers to designers, from amateurs to professionals.
The August update offers some significant improvements in the Fit Text to Path tool. It's now even easier to manipulate text along a path of vector objects and create artistic text effects. The curved text allows users to design unique illustrations, make eye-catching logos and shareable social media images.
The collection of the FX Brushes has been enriched with a new tool. The Smoke Brush draws light translucent streams of smoke. Just a couple of movements to add candle or cigarette smoke to your picture or to transform a photo into a dreamy, mystical landscape.
The MakeUp built-in plugin has been updated. The filter improves portraits and adds glamour to photos, removes irregularities and imperfections and creates beautifully smooth skin, flawless yet natural. Now users can add the most liked presets to Favorites. Retouch your portraits with ease and fun!
Also, the recent version offers small improvements and bug fixes that increase the program's stability.
The image editor is available for download at alivecolors.com. Test the software free of charge in a fully-functional 10-day trial version.
AliveColors runs on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (64-bit); and on Mac OS X 10.10-10.11, macOS 10.12-10.15 (64-bit). The program supports a multi-language interface. It is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified).
The product comes in Free, Home ($49), and Pro ($160) versions, with differing levels of functionality. Users have a choice between lifetime licenses and subscription options.
The update is free for active subscriptions and lifetime licenses of the program bought or upgraded in the last 12 months. Users, whose licenses are older and are not valid for the recent version, can update the software for $20.
